A native of Quincy, Illinois he attended St. John the Baptist Grade School and Quincy Senior High School, from which he graduated in 1996.
Father Zehnle studied at Quincy University and received a Bachelor of Arts - in history - in 2000.
From 2000 - 2005, he studied for the priesthood at the University of St. Mary of the Lake / Mundelein Seminary and received a Master of Divinity, (Summa cum laude) and a Baccalaureate in Sacred Theology in 2005.
He was ordained a priest of Jesus Christ by His Excellency the Most Reverend George J. Lucas, on May 28, 2005 for the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois.
He is a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus. He is a member of the International Arthurian Society/North American Branch; the Medieval Academy of America; the Society for Catholic Liturgy; and the Fellowship of Catholic Scholars.
He was formerly employeed by KB Toys as a Parental Video Game Advisor and as a Sales Associate, by the Quincy Herald-Whig as a Customer Service Representative, and by Quincy University as a Resident Assistant.
In his spare time, he likes to read, walk, swim and visit Hawaii. He enjoys Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings and King Arthur.
His favorite saints include Damien de Vuester of Molokai, Francis of Assisi, Clare of Assisi, and John Bosco.
